Did you know there’s a giant trapeze in the Drakensberg? Neither did we until we visited our friends atAll Out Adventures on the Montusi Gorge.
This epic space of action and adrenaline boasts several thrilling activities that will get your blood pumping and Mayne even teach you a little bit about yourself. From Cable Tours to Cycle Trails, there is something for everyone in this exciting establishment.

History of AoA
Started in XXXX by Chris and Loretta Mecklenborg, All Out Adventures offers 10 awesome activities at one spectacular venue. Highlights include SA’s fastest Cable Tour, Adventure Quad Trails, 150kms of marked mountain bike trails, and a hair raising 17 meter free fall King Swing accessed by a wooden spiral stair case that snakes 21 meters to the tree tops. The activities are all visible from our coffee shop lawn, so the less adventurous members of the party can kick back with a giant cappuccino and still feel like part of the action.
Cable Tour
This exhilarating and scenic ride on 900m of cable between 7 forested platforms is the fastest cable tour in South Africa. The culmination of dizzying heights and high speeds of up to 60kmph makes this a truly awe-inspiring experience!
Flying Trapeze
The original attraction at All Out Adventures! This authentic circus trapeze gives visitors a chance to sail through the air! Instructors coach you through taking off the board to landing in the net, with the option of a knee hang and a back flip dismount.
King Swing
A 17 meter free fall and swing from a one-of-a-kind Tree Top Suspension Bridge. “It’s like an upright bungee jump with a bigger scream!” Accessed by a spectacular 21 meter spiral stair case, the climb is nearly as thrilling as the jump!
Paintball
Taking place in a dramatic forested arena, a variety of natural and man-made barriers make for an interesting game. 2 teams compete to capture the flag that is posted in the centre of the arena. Each participant is issued with 200 paintballs and the game is over when everybody’s paint is finished. Although protective overalls and masks are issued, the paintballs can cause welts, bruises and even broken skin. Definitely not for the faint hearted!
Quad and Motorcycle Tours
The quad experience includes a lesson on riding safely together off road in a group, followed by an outride on purpose built mountain trails in the gorgeous Montusi Gorge. Wind along rivers, over hills and through grassy plains. Splash through puddles and carve your way along the dusty roads of the Drakensberg. This is a truly epic adventure for the wild at heart!
Bungee Bounce
An extraordinary four way trampoline and bungee system where participants are harnessed in and winched up above the trampoline. This is a fun activity for all ages. See how many back-flips you can do, or just enjoy the fleeting birds-eye view!
Kids Adventure Zone
For those a little young to take part in the other activities, there is also an enclosed play area for kids. It features a “Ninja Warrior Jnr.” course – an obstacle course where kids can test their strength and determination, and the dueling Sit & Zips – mini zip lines with an automatic braking system that ride side by side. There are also swings and a trampoline, and many other novelties for little ones!
