Not Nyeleti’s proudest moment…
After a few very quiet hours spent with Nyeleti (a resident leopard in the Klaserie) as she lazed about, this peculiar moment occurred… A scrub hare, with a possible death wish, hopped out of the bushes to give her a sniff. The lucky rodent then hopped off unharmed.
Nyeleti woke up a few minutes later, blissfully unaware that she’d missed out on a tiny snack. It boggles the mind to think what was going through the scrub hares mind to make it do something like that…
