We cut this overview video from our stay at Waterbuck Game Lodge. It was a weekend of family, fun and unforgettable moments spent in Thornybush Game Reserve. Situated adjacent to a water estuary, this lodge prides itself as being a truly relaxing retreat in the heart of South Africas most pristine wilderness area.

A Weekend at Waterbuck Game Lodge

Our Stay at Waterbuck

This private reserve is home to a dynamic ecosystem with a plethora of wild residents, so both veteran wildlife enthusiasts or novel safari goers will be truly elated during their visit to this marvellous Thornybush lodge. With an ever-present abundance of wildlife, the Kruger landscape always provides phenomenal game viewing and wilderness experience.

We loved working with the friendly and helpful staff because they add personalised details to your visit. There are just 4 suites, so Waterbuck Game Lodge is the ideal getaway destination for families and small groups (the entire lodge is available to be booked for exclusive use). Spend some quiet time in the lodge library or find relaxation while wallowing in the cool waters of the swimming pool. Evenings at the lodge are filled with magic and romance as you dine under the African night sky, during a traditional evening in the boma.

After that, retire to your welcoming suite, so you can sink into a night of true comfort. Allow the sounds of the nocturnal orchestra to sing you to sleep and prepare yourself for another day of safari excellence and African adventure!
